Christmas Time…

18 Dec

My favourite thing about getting home for Christmas is planning the tv viewing, you know you have to make sure that nothing clashes with dinner!

There are a million and one Christmas films out there but I want to talk to you about my favourites. In no particular order…

1. Love Actually

With a star studded cast I would be shocked if you hadn’t seen or heard of this feel good film. Telling about 10 different stories within one film works so well because they are concentrate on the different types of love. It’s funny, it’s sad and it’s just what you need to lift your Christmas spirit.

2. It’s A Wonderful Life

Out in 1946, this film is the oldest and definitely most timeless Christmas film I know about. The main character George Bailey is going through a tough time when a guardian angel appears to help him see the lives George has touched and how important he truly is. Make sure you get the tissues ready for this one!

3. Elf

Will Ferrel in a Christmas comedy, what more could you ask for? This film is suitable for all ages as you follow Buddy the elf on his quest to New York City were things are slightly different from the North Pole.

4. The Nightmare Before Christmas

I can never quite work out if this is a Halloween or Christmas film but none the less it’s a favourite of mine!
A portal has been opened between Halloween Town and Christmas Town but perhaps with unexpected consequences…
